300 Year Old Cascias

A prominent South African client assigned Kim h nieu Interior Design with a complete renovation of a gorgeous, heritage building on the Cascais town square. Local craftsman had to be used to meticulously restore this structure to its former glory being over 300 years old.

The floors were divided into separate apartments with our main focus being on the top floor, turning it into a 4-bedroom family home for the client. With floor selections signifying different areas adding texture and interest, and some junction colour, with clean wall coverings to create a fresh overall coastal design feel. All furniture selection was designed, manufactured and sourced by the Kim h nieu Interior Design team in South Africa and then shipped and installed in Portugal. A point of interest to give this design cohesion is focusing on lighting design, allowing tons of natural light into the space with accent lighting creating volume and mood in this Cascias Heritage Home.
